Erica Vincenzi earned her BA from UCLA in 2017. She has since exhibited at galleries around Los Angeles including Motor Gallery and Punta Lairs inc. On paper and on canvas Vincenzi uses bold strokes of largely desaturated color to create subdued scenes, sometimes energized by the incorporation of moments of greater contrast or vibrant patterning. Her painterly scenes raise feelings of indeterminate loneliness and haunting nostalgia, populated by formally recognizable imagery but imbued with thematic and compositional ambiguity.
